Association for the
     Preservation of Geneseo
Founded in 1974, the purpose of APOG is to preserve, improve, and restore the places of civic, architectural, and historic interest to Geneseo, New York and to educate members of the community to their architectural and historical heritage.
It was through efforts of APOG members that Main Street, Geneseo, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places; additional streets were added to the Historic District on the National Register; and the entire Historic District was designated a National Historic Landmark by the United States Secretary of the Interior.
