Fishing In addition to Conesus Lake, Geneseo is surrounded by many other fishing areas including Lake Ontario to the North and the Rest of the Finger Lakes to the East and West. Conesus Lake, located 6 miles from Geneseo, tempts anglers with largemouth bass, small mouth bass, chain pickerel, rock bass, pan fish, walleye, carp, and northern pike.Winter finds a small village of ice fishing huts at the north end of the Lake.
