| Geneseo welcomes you. You
will find our lovely National Historic Landmark Village located
just 30 minutes south of Rochester, NY in a setting of stunning
landscapes and productive farms. |
| The county seat of Livingston County, our village is home to
the campus of SUNY Geneseo, one of the nation’s top public
liberal arts colleges, historic buildings, a picturesque and thriving
Main Street and many finely preserved homes. Our town is
nestled in the idyllic Genesee Valley bordered by the nearby Finger
Lakes to our east, Letchworth State Park, the “Grand Canyon
of the East,” to our west and the famed Genesee Country Village
and Museum to our north. Lovely hills, fields and waterways support
a thriving agriculture and afford us lively recreational opportunities
from water sports to equestrian activities. |
| Be sure to stop in at the Geneseo Welcome Center located inside Youngs & Linfoot, Inc. at the corner of Main and Center Streets. The Center is open Thursday 1:00 - 5:00 pm and Friday - Saturday 11:00 am - 3:00 pm. Staff can provide tips to make your visit especially enjoyable and provide a wide variety of brochures and flyers. |
| Our website will give you a sense of who we are - a friendly community with abundant human and natural resources - as well as a glimpse of our history, special events, and other attractions. |
| A great place to raise a family! |
A great place for retirement! |
